活動主題國際班外籍教師International Bridge Program foreign teacher
活動內容Kai Ping Culinary School is a renowned culinary school located in central Taipei, close to Technology Building Station. We use thematic teaching approach which aims to assist our students’ journey to self- discovery and our success is showcased by many of our alumni in the food and beverage industry.

1. Teacher of the International Bridge Program students
We are looking for a native English teacher who is energetic and has a passion for education to teach and assist in setting up our international bridge program- a program for culinary students who intend to study or work abroad after school.

2. Work hours:
Work hours will be from 9AM-6PM, Monday to Friday with 90 minutes lunch break. Schedule may be adjusted according to national holiday or special school events.

3. Class hours
Class hours will be approximately 35 hours per week. Classes will be spread between 10th 11th and 12th grade English and Thematic teaching projects. (Please check our barouche for more explanation)

4. Work VISA
Applicants need to have permanent residence status, or need to hold teaching certification from the USA, Canada, the UK, Australia, NZ, or RSA if an ARC is needed.

5. Other requirements:
To promote teachers’ growth, all teachers are to read recommended material regarding thematic teaching approach, and required to write reflection notes regarding teaching experience to share with other teachers.
Reflection notes: The “six-step method” (reflection, comparison, feeling processing, decision- making, action, evaluation, and action again) is reflective thinking and writing, all daily experiences are transformed into dialogs and actions. This is an internal dialogue, inner-self emotion caring experience, and the evaluation of words-deeds integration. Furthermore, it’s an accumulation of the energy of knowledge, skills and attitudes. It’s a large amount of recording the speculation of the value in education work, and the research of teaching methods. And it also profoundly reflects the positions of teaching and learning and the relation of teachers and students.

6. Need to participate in school events such as student interview, school orientation etc.
